My favorite men’s trends
My runway has been crowded lately. Crowded enough to make me miss last week’s Project Runway. I know right. But like I promised, I have my favorite trends for men this fall; you might want to take notes. If you are reading this, that means that you like to keep your style different and the spotlight is on you. Mine spotlight is always on you. I will start with something that I know best and that is the shoes. I can tell a lot about a person just by looking at their shoes. The number one thing for guys right now is the boat shoes.
I love these shoes on men because they are much uncomplicated. I know how guys like their fashion to be “uncomplicated”. You can dress them up or down. I have seen these shoes on a good number and they all looked different depending on the person’s style. They can also be worn through all seasons. If you don’t have a pair, I don’t know what you are waiting for. On a side notes, yes colored pants are still in.
They come in different colors too.
Black shoes are classy. You cannot go wrong with them. But try owning a pair of brown shoes. I know you might say that it might not match most things and I am glad you think that. But hear me out; these brown shoes will make your outfit look different than the black shoes would. They make a look more interesting than you meant it. I personally think they show confidence (long gone are the days when all you had to do was stretch your muscles) because let me be honest, not very many people can pull them off well…but I know you can. Trust me, these shoes will go with anything, just put them on.
The varsity jacket is going to become like denim or leather. I don’t see it getting out of style anytime soon. You do not even have to be on the team to wear one. These jackets are very effortless and you can look your best on the days you don’t feel like trying. Just like the boat shoes, it can be won year around.
I love the direction that men’s fashion is going. Most of the trends are bold, confident and sexy. Everything is more form fitting now. I am talking about the dress shirts. One of my biggest fashion pet peeves is when men tack their dress shirts in and it still remains blousy. I am the biggest fan of the dressy casual wear. I love it when guys wear sweaters with dress pants or dress shirts. You have to be lucky to not look good when you try this one.
Basically what I am saying is that having boat shoes, a sports jacket, brown shoes and just simply playing around with the dressy casual wear will not only make your life easier because you will not have to even think about what to wear but also make you my favorite person on my runway.
