Movie Premier “The Ugandan”: This post is for the love of movies
Life gets tougher during the week of finals and I’m ready for this semester to be over. I have been such a good girl and it’s only fair that I have a day off (I probably won’t but you can never blame a girl for dreaming) In addition to liking fashion as much as I do, I hope you enjoy movies, especially foreign movies.
The movie “The Ugandan” is about Asians entangled in relationships in the wake of their expulsion from Uganda by Idi Amin – if you have watched Last King of Scotland then you might know what I’m talking about. The Ugandan is directed by Patrick Sekaya , produced by Alvin Kasule and has won an award for best narrative at this year’s Silicon Valley African film festival that took place in California earlier this year.
The red carpet is rolling up at Embassy Cinema Theater 16 Pine Street, Waltham. A few special guests have been to put to the list. I wish I could tell you everyone on it but I swore on my favorite heels that I would not but I didn't say that I would not give you hints, I guess I can give a few and still keep my heels. (I’m horrible at keeping surprises) Miss Africa USA will be there. A few Hollywood actors (one of them is beyond beautiful) a few Nollywood actors- I cannot wait to meet one in particular because he is so handsome and I have to find out whether those beautiful eyes are real. I will stop here before I give too much away.
Above is the trailer to the movie. If you are interested, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or Alvin Kasule at email@example.com. Since your girl has connections, I can get you a discount on your ticket or click on the image above for the link. The after party is at THE UNDER BAR ULTRA LOUNGE 275 TREMONT ST. BOSTON. It starts at 10 PM. Don't miss out!!!
