BREAKFAST IN MAINE PART TWO

The next part of my Maine trip was full of shopping -Which can never be a bad thing especially when you are surrounded by outlets. I think that you have not been in Maine unless you have been to LL Bean. My style might not fit into LL Bean but I fell in love with the place. I actually ended up buying something. It does not matter what your style is, we all agree that they have the best stylish snow shoes.Next time I need anything for men's fashion, I know where to go.

This is me trying to tone down my style for Maine….eggh now that I look at my outfit, there is absolutely nothing “Maine” about it.

You have not been thrift shopping until you have done it in Maine. They have “authentic” stores. One of the things I don’t like about most thrift stores in Boston is that the things are expensive. The point of thrift shopping is not to get a Dolce Gabbana skirt for $80 at Second Time Around; the point is to get it for at least $20. I particularly feel in love with this one in Portland that sold vintage clothes and records. It made me want to buy a record player (which I’m seriously considering) and when I do, I will have to pay Portland another visit.

All the outlets where having sales up to 90%. Jockey was having a huge sale on their bras because they are bringing in the new designs in March. Let us go ahead and file this vacation under "best days of 2013" because there is nothing I love more than a good bargain.

If I had this view every morning when I woke up, I would most likely be up before the sun. My favorite Mainer Jenna had to take a moment to capture this beautiful sunrise. What a natural beauty it is!!!

I can see myself trading my heels for a pair of ugg boots and become a Mainer......I’m just kidding, they tax everything. But I’m more than glad that I have Maine as my “Tiffany’s”, my fantasy getaway. What is your Tiffany’s?

  2. Reginah, it is great to read about your Maine adventures! My wife, Margo is from Maine... Topsham, only a few miles from Freeport. I love Maine, too! I may move there for retirement someday. BTW... get that record player, you'll be glad you did.
    Peace, Scott
