Louis Vuitton film accused of promoting prostitution

Louis Vuitton is being accused of promoting prostitution in their recently released fashion short film. The film which was made in collaboration with Love magazine features Georgia May Jagger, Kate Moss and more strolling in alleyways and streets in racy looks from the label’s Fall 2013 collection. The Scelles Foundation Against Sexual Exploitation senator Laurence Rossignol, lawyer Dominique Attias among others signed a letter in France’s Liberation newspaper disapproving the film and calling it “an extremely shocking representation of women.” The letter went on to say that the film “portrayed women’s bodies as an object and prostitution as something that is playful and enjoyable. This is very damaging because we are trying to fight the idea, to which some young women in France subscribe, that prostitution is banal and just a way of getting money to buy clothes.” Louis Vuitton made statement that the “video was created and broadcasted by Love” Maybe Christian Grey’s idea of love? Anyways, here is the video; do you think that it glorifies sex work?
