Show Review: Guy Laroche Fall 2013

Bonjour, another day in Paris Fashion Week and I did not realize that February was already over. This year is moving by a little too fast. With that being said, Happy March. Marcel Marongui never disappoints me; in his latest work for Guy Laroche’s Fall 2013 collection, he played with leather and color. This collection was inspired by German-American actress and style icon Marlene Dietrich splashed with a modern twist.
From the high slits to crystal embellishments, this collection plays female power. It is for a stylish woman’s daytime wardrobe which will take her or give her push to her dark fantasies (name one woman who does not wear or fantasize about getting sexy in some leather)

He emphasized the feminine side of the collection by adding some shades of fuchsia and grape.

This Camo pattern always works well with silk and that is exactly what he did. These dresses are some of the most wearable pieces in this collection. The collection is very versatile and made for the woman who knows what she wants and how to get it (wooooo there is nothing I love more than female empowerment ) I can see some of the starlets like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Halle Berry etc ; falling in love with most of these pieces.  I am already in love. Everything has a meaning behind it and this collection showed me that there is nothing wrong with knowing what you want and how to get it, it’s just that sometimes you need the perfect closet to help you out and that is exactly what this collection would do.
