This is happening: Russian Magazine Editor-In- Chief Black Dasha Zhukova sits on a black woman chair in the name of “art”

As we were reflecting on Martin Luther King’s dream over the weekend, Russian socialite and Garage Editor-In-Chief Dasha Zhukova was doing the opposite of that dream… is the story.  Miroslava Duma’s online magazine Buro 247 published an article earlier this week of Dasha Zhukova.  Frankly I didn’t give a damn about the details of the interview after seeing a calm Dasha  sitting on a “black woman” chair. I kid you not, this happened in real life.

That is not clearly a real person but the black “dummy” is only in panties, a garter belt, elbow gloves and knee high boots. Dasha appears to be the total opposite of the black woman on the floor. Now, I understand when people do things in the name of “art”, I was one of the few people who did not mind Lady GaGa’s meat dress but this right here is a little overboard. Before I even connect it to racism, or even talk about how black women are overly degraded in society, how can a woman be okay with this? I am not okay with this.
Of course they sent out an apology “we love and respect and look up to people regardless of their race, gender or social status. The chair ion the photo should only be seen as a piece of art which was created by British Pop-Artist Allen Jones and not as any form of racial discrimination” it doesn’t make a difference really, shit like this always happens, followed by an apology followed by the same thing. I also don’t believe for a second that they didn’t think this was going to raise a few eyebrows.
This is the Allen Jones 1969 inspiration. It has nothing to do with the color of the dummy; it is actually degrading and quiet disturbing….and I always try to keep an open mind. We have come so far but we still have a long way to go.
