Runway 2015: April Canavan Designs.

A posts ago, I shared with you the talents of April Canavan. We agreed that her chic athletic designs make her designs stand out and appeal to a girl like you and me. Take a look at her senior collection, a collection inspired by the brutality of the ocean and its ability to change and alter the things left within it. You know; seeing the beauty of the struggle.

Canavan was very inspired the ocean because the ocean is a symbol of life and the harshness of the ocean being the difficulties and challenges one might face. I loved how easy and vibrant her mood board is. The pastel pinks and blues matched perfectly with the dark green. If you look back at my previous post, subtle colors seem to be a favorite of her.

Her interpretation of the brutality of the ocean and its ability to change and alter the things left with in it result into seaweed becoming ribbons, barnacles become jewels and suddenly, the hardships of the world doesn’t seem so terrible because you have gone through the worst. It’s always an amazing thing when fashion speaks to you. Plus when you see it,  her draping game is on point.
