On The Redcarpet: Let’s finish this Golden Globes.
I love Award season. I always sit through it with my twitter fingers from the red carpet arrivals to the last speech. And then I think to myself that this was a waste of time and then we do it all over again. Just like Ricky Gervais did it over again last night at the Golden Globes. The fashion on the red carpet was as exciting as this inter season. For all those on my best dressed list are on my best dressed list because I had to convince My Runway that they deserved it. I had to defend Zendaya’s look like a million times. Yes, she is young and fabulous and she could have gone with a better dress but this one works for her height and body type. I wish to slay this dress but I cannot because I am short and I would look like I’m drowning in it but she is not and the color is just amazing.
I loved the way Viola looked tonight. She needs to get Octavia Spencer’s stylist but my girl is slaying. All hail mother queen. Viola’s makeup was on point, so was her wig and her accessory of a hubby. Her fashion game has really gone up.
Laverne Cox the only lady in white worth mentioning. Taraji last night was your night but I think Cookie would not want to give out cookies in a plain white dress. But you did have the drama in the poses on the red carpet girl.
Lady Gaga was bitchy in a custom-made Versace gown. And I thought that the hair ages her but her eyebrows were on fleek.
I missed Downton Abbey hoping to see Joanne Froggat win an award for Best Supporting Actress but whatever she looked amazing in this gown by Reem Acra.
Best dressed nominee Gina Rodriguez loved amazing in this Zac Posen. The way she is in it, the color on her, the hair, I can see the Zac Posen magic when I see it. That joke was the best of the night. Gina beat Olivia Palermo in Delpozo for this spot.
I loved JLaw’s Dior dress until I saw the cut in the back. That was a surprise for me so I was caught off guard. The color was however right and the accessory game was on point so was the hair. I still think that her friendship with ASchu is a bit forced but let's see where we go with this.
Obviously Rooney Mara made the wrong dress color. I love Rooney but lawwwdd no with that dress. I can't tell her from her dress, both look alike. I loved how strong the hair and makeup was- those eyebrows were strong girl. I missed Lupita.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked golden in this custom-made Atelier Versace gown. Let’s finish this Golden Globes talk Backstage. We go hard on these folks because they have access to the best clothes but why dear God why? Also if I got a dollar every time someone thanked God in their speech I would still be broke.
