STYLE FILE: Keke Palmer's #blackgirlmagic

One of my aspirations in life is to be a role model for girls especially young black girls. I want to put the spotlight on my growth so that my nieces can have someone to look up to and confide in no matter what the situation is. Most of the girls I looked up to during my teen years happened to be on Television. The celebrities I admired during my early teen years will always have a place in my pop culture heart because in a way, they introduced me to the American culture. While Miley had her moment and so did Raven, Keke Palmer is one of the few if not the only one who has not had any crazy moments during her growth.  I remember watching her keep it movin’ song came out, I watched it every day just to copy her style. She is also the most underrated one but there is no stopping her #blackgirlmagic.

Keke has gracefully grown into her style and her career. If you have seen her movies or follow her on social media, you would know that she has a great sense of humor and that she can rock any hairstyle. Just like she nailed her Aaliyah tribute on Halloween.
Her style is chic, classy and sporty glam. Just like her style, she is bold and fun. You can tell through her style and art that she is not afraid of being goofy. She is always switching it up and that is why she is a Runway favorite. She is also the queen of rocking crop tops. She knows how to dress sexy while respecting her body. Most women have trouble finding that balance.

Especially for black girls, we need more role models like Keke Palmer because it is easier to build strong children than to repair broken women.

Whose #blackgirlmagic should be sprinkled on my Runway next? Let me know Backstage and remember to always keep it moving.
