Men’s Style: Should we make crop tops for guys a thing?

There are worse things in life than dealing with a Super Bowl hangover on a Snowy Monday. We are honestly not that sporty on my Runway so let’s say that Beyonce won the Super Bowl. And as I thought I was doing alright with paying my bills, she has given me two days to get money for her Formation Tour knowing damn well it's gonna sell out before the tickets are released to the general public, I have already faced the truth. I only had money for her album, how is she going to do that. Blake Shelton would never put me through this kind of mess.

Enough about Beyonce, someone wants to know whether it is cool for guys to wear crop tops. I had to think about it for a second. After realizing that it was a ridiculous question, I actually did not even bother to ask the men on my Runway because I already know what they are going to say. Some would argue that men need to stop labeling everything as gay and make crop tops a thing but I suggest that we take a minute and think this through.

Let's say that I am hanging out with my hot boyfriend and he is wearing grey sweatpants and a “manly” crop top and I am seeing eggplants and totally digging it. Let’s also say I am at a nice cafe, enjoying a muffin in my lovely green dress-that I now have to get and a normal looking donut eating, beer drinking guy walks past me in grey sweatpants and a “manly” crop top. Do you see how a man wearing crop tops is  a risky fashion move? Men wearing crop tops worked better in the 80’s but a lot of things worked better in the 80’s

Unless we are doing Netflix and chill things, I do not want my guy in a crop top. I don’t want to see most of my guy friends in a crop top. I am not trying to have my man walking around looking like a fool with a crop top on just like I don’t want my man walking around with a better purse than me. But at the same time, I don’t have a man so I guess your men can wear whatever they want. So I am putting men crop tops in the same category as man purses. I guess it’s only cool when Calvin Klein does it on his Runway.

What do you think. If you are a guy, should we make guys in crop tops a thing?  For me, I say we are getting over our heads because we just got you out of those plain white tees. Let’s take baby steps.

Don't forget to come Backstage, its lit!!! Thank you for walking on my Runway.

  1. I feel like it's up the wearers discretion honestly. Just like in fashion for women they make items for all sizes. There are women who are bigger that wear them. It's embrace as body positivity. Which I'm totally for. So why can't it be the same for men. Get in where you fit in. If you like wear it.
