Runway Savings: Beauty Products under $10
I am making this post of beauty products under $10 because if you are like me in your early 20’s trying to figure out this adulthood thing and pay off Sallie Mae, you better start saving up every penny. It took me a few years to get what I thought was the perfect foundation.I’m lighter in the T zone area so most makeup was not doing it for me and because I am a dark skinned woman in America, the options were not that many to begin with. So when I learned about how amazing the MAC foundation was a few years ago from my sister, It was amazing for as long as it lasted. Sure, the price was a little too much but I thought it was worth it. Until a friend recommended e.l.f cosmetics. I got many things from the websites for the same price I got the MAC foundation and then my life was never the same.
The e.l.f foundation did a much better job than the MAC and saved me a pretty penny. I am working on saving my money better instead of just talking about it. There are a lot of products that get the job done without emptying your pockets.
The Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo is only $3.99. That is less than a spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy’s.
Most of the things on this list are from e.l.f. Their bronzer in warm glow is everything especially on my dark skin. Their eyebrow and eyeliner kit is also pretty affordable.
Life can get busy and sometimes the nails can wait. I get self conscious when I have chipped nails- it gets to a point where I tell people to stop looking at my nails even though they were not. The forever 21 nail polish ranges from $2.90 to $3.90. You can always spare 15 to 20 minutes to get them fleeky.
Are your edges in good hands? If they are not then I suggest you do. You might not get one thing right but the least you can do is get those edges laid just to check that off the list. The okay Polished edges is only $3 and you can find it at any drug store.
It does not matter what the color of your skin is, coconut butter is going to be good for it. The Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter has nothing but good reviews and it is only at $4.99.
My favorite beauty product is Vaseline. It is the only thing I would trust with my skin. Sometimes I put it under my eyes to take care of those bags and it works like a charm all the time. It works its magic best overnight; it can help give you longer lashes (I still have to try this), soft feet, wrinkles, dry skin, smooth lips and cuticle care. I would bet my favorite shoes on the power of Vaseline.
The cheapest beauty product of them all is water. Water hydrates your skin giving it a natural glow. It does not matter how expensive your makeup is or how good you are at makeup, if you do not have nice skin, it is going to show. I’m not going to lie, I do not drink as much water as I should but I try. Sometimes that's all you can do.
What is your best beauty secret that will not cost us a pretty penny?
