African Chic: When did I wear my Afrisent cape better?

I remember the first time I saw this Afrisent cape- which is now my favorite thing in my closet. I ah been looking for a special occasion look for sometime and the one that came close to the outfit I had envisioned, it did not fit well enough. I went through almost all the designs Afrisent had available. I touched it, put it down and when I got a second look , I could not believe that I did not appreciate its beauty the first time. I tried it on and I never wanted to take it off. I felt like an African Khaleesi and it felt so natural to me. I knew I was going to get it. A friend mentioned that it is so unique that I would not have an occasion to wear it to. I am happy I did not listen to her because it is so versatile and easy to style. We all know that if it came down to it, I would wear it to go grocery shopping.

I wore it at the Uganda Martyrs celebration with a white jumpsuit. I originally had a shorter dress as the option but I got too tired that I just threw it on and it worked.

The second time I wore it was recently at the Red Carpets and Runways Event in Boston. I needed to wear something that would make me stand out and I am glad that I did not have to look that far. The red complimented it very well. I actually think that the this was a better styled look just because of how the red made me shine. I have to wear it with something blue to see how it look like.
